On July 7th, Portola had its first city park concert of the year! The group, Dust In My Coffee, was a fun Celtic bluegrass fusion of delightful music. The fiddle and guitar players were fabulous musicians who played beautifully together. The guitarist also brought out bagpipes and played the Highland fling!The schedule for upcoming concerts in Portola City Park is as follows:July 21st: Margaret’s Funk Band, with their sounds of Motown music.August 4th: Plumas County’s favorite hometown rock band, Danny Horton and Whispering Pines.August 11th: Drinking With Clowns, a groovy Latin dance rhythm band.August 18th: Sierra Roc, playing classic rock ‘n’ roll.Concerts go from 7-10 pm and are free to attend.
