Smoke from the structure and vegetation fire was visible from the Oregon Peak ALERTCalifornia camera.
DOBBINS — On Monday, September 15, a heavy plume of smoke was visible on ALERTCalifornia cameras by 2:45 PM. At around 3 PM, the Dobbins/Oregon House Fire Department reported on social media that it was working two structure fires, which had spread into vegetation near Dobbins. The fire rapidly reached approximately five acres by around 3:30 PM. By that point, evacuation warnings were issued for two remote Yuba County zones. Although the spread was initially described as “moderate,” air tankers quickly responded, and by 4 PM, the fire was contained. Evacuation warnings were lifted at 4:13 PM.
