Cast Your Vote!

2 min read

Dear Community Members,

Did you know that the largest voting block is the group that doesn’t bother to exercise their civic right to vote? This is such an important primary election, please do not let apathy keep you from casting your vote. Let’s reach out to everyone we know and encourage them to become involved and make a difference. Offer to mail their completed ballot, which is a legal form of ballot harvesting.

Here are some dates and websites for you to be aware of:

  • Ballots will be mailed out on or about February 5th.
  • February 20th is the last day to register to vote for the March 5th primary. Please go to www.registertovote.ca.gov or contact the Sierra County Register of Voters Office.
  • We urge you to vote early although the last date to vote in this primary is March 5th. This election will determine the outcome of the Sierra County Superior Court Judge race.
  • To verify your voter status please go to voterstatus.sos.ca.gov or the Sierra County Register of Voters Office.
  • If you’re concerned with the security of your ballot and want to make sure it’s been received, your mailed ballot can be tracked at California.ballottrax.net/voter

In order to vote for a Republican Presidential candidate in this primary you have to be a registered Republican. Those registered “Decline to State” or “No Party Preference” are no longer able to request a Republican ballot. This applies to the Presidential Candidates only.

Sierra County, let’s lead the Nation in voter turnout! Let us return to a time where voting is an honor, privilege and priority! Please VOTE and vote early!
