DIG Press Release
April 18, 2025
Do you love Downieville as much as we do? Want to help make our little town shine even brighter? Then, we’d love to have you join us at our Downieville Improvement Group meetings!
Locally known as DIG, we’re a 501c3 non-profit group of community-minded members who roll up our sleeves and get things done—from sprucing up public spaces and organizing events to tackling small projects that make a big difference. Examples? We funded the building of the gazebo in Gold Rush Park, sponsor the annual Downieville Mountain Brewfest and Downieville Clean-Up Day, helped advance the Community Hall remodel project, contribute to the Downieville High School Senior Award Program and many other projects around town. If you’ve ever thought, “Somebody should do something about that,”—good news: you’re somebody, and we’re the group to do it with!
Why join?
Meet great people who care about our community
Be part of fun, hands-on projects
Share your ideas and see them come to life
Make a positive impact, right here at home!
Whether you’ve got tools in your shed, ideas in your head, or just a couple of hours to spare, there’s a place for you in DIG. No experience needed-just a good attitude and a love for our town. There are no membership dues.
We meet once a month (with snacks) and always welcome new faces. Come say hello at our next meeting, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, at the Downieville Community Hall. Snacks at 5:30 PM, and the meeting begins at 6:00 PM. Questions? Email: downievillebrew@gmail.com
Let’s work together to keep Downieville beautiful, connected, and thriving! See you soon!
