Tegan Harrington pins his EMS badge on Cory Schiemann.
DOWNIEVILLE — On Saturday, the Downieville Volunteer Fire Department hosted a hello/farewell party for incoming Downieville Paramedic Cory Schiemann and the outgoing Tegan Harrington. At the party, Deputy Medical Director Frank Lang and Fire Chief Robert Hall sent Harrington off with a proclamation thanking him for his service to Downieville Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Harrington then pinned his paramedic badge on Schiemann, symbolically transitioning the role. Finally, Bette Jo Lang gave Tegan’s wife, Erin, a quilt of stars by which to remember the Downieville nights.
Tegan will continue to work with Downieville EMS until he leaves next month to attend medical school in Arkansas. Cory has been working with the department since the beginning of April and assisting Tegan on medical runs.
