How refreshing Lee Kirby’s letter in last week’s edition. Finally someone with common sense! The idea of a judge expressing political leanings is absolute FLAPDOODLE! Ignore all the nonsense that LaChance needs to disclose his political affiliation- HE DOESN’T! HE SHOULD NOT! I don't want to know how he votes. I DON’T CARE!!!! I don't want to stand in front of a judge and think about his or her being a Democrat, Republican, or Independant, and wonder how that will affect my case. Likewise, I don’t want them to know how I vote. A few folks are hell bent in their pursuit in throwing stones at LaChance — grasping at straws. They would be wise to focus their efforts and promote the strengths of their desired candidate instead of trying to tear a good man down, who has faithfully served our county as the court commissioner all these years. LaChance has run his campaign at a higher level; ignored the pettiness, and the lame and utterly pathetic attacks on his personhood. Does the judge know the law? Are they going to uphold the law? Remain unbiased? Fair? Will justice be served? These are the questions that matter.
