Letter to Readers

1 min read

Dear Readers,

A big thank you to all our subscribers who allow our paper to continue to thrive when so many papers around the country are closing shop. It is always a morale booster to open the mail to checks written for not merely one year but "two-year" subscriptions, affirming our belief we will be around for a good while longer. Interestingly enough, many of the surprise "two-year" subscriptions are from out-of-county folks. We are delighted our news from the Lost Sierra proves to be a worthy read for so many across the states. The Mountain Messenger also appreciates all the gift subscriptions to friends and family members by current subscribers and the handwritten notes instructing us to use the extra donation for "donuts, treats, and beer." And yes, in response to a subscriber who owns an avocado farm, we do love avocados!
