The first vehicle to be stuck is winched out by Search and Rescue
PLUMAS COUNTY — On Friday, April 26th, the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office received a notification from the California Office of Emergency Services that an emergency satellite beacon was activated at the county’s east end. When Plumas Search and Rescue responded, they found two males, 76 and 81 years old, whose vehicle had become stuck in deep mud. They also found that the vehicle of a US Forest Service employee who responded had also become stuck. Search and Rescue was able to winch both stuck vehicles to safety.
