PORTOLA — The Western Sierra Railroad Museum in Portola will be hosting its annual Pumpkin Patch Express on October 19 – 20 and October 26 – 27. The museum will open at 10 AM, with trains departing between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Saturday nights will feature Halloween-decorated “Super Spooky Night Trains” between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Trains will depart from the Diesel Shop at the Pumpkin Patch, where visitors can explore and purchase pumpkins.
Admission to the family-friendly Pumpkin Patch Express is $15 per car or $10 with the donation of 3 cans of food for the EPCAN Food Bank. Feather River Rail Society members enter free with a membership card. More information is available at http://pumpkin.wplives.org or by calling (530) 832-4131.
