09:39 - Ambulance requested in Calpine.

09:46 - Possible wolf attack on cattle in the Sierra Valley.

12:37 - Report of an animal problem in Sierraville. Fish and Wildlife notified.

13:46 - Juvenile problem at the Loyalton middle school.

14:38 - Report of trespassing in Loyalton.

15:47 - Text to 9-1-1 requesting emergency services. When the Sheriff’s Office was able to contact the subject, it was determined to be an accidental activation.

17:15 - Welfare check requested in Sierraville.

17:47 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

Tuesday, October 7

03:58 - Trespassing reported in Downieville.

10:50 - Inmate transported.

12:06 - Lift assist requested in Loyalton.

12:33 - Accidental 9-1-1 call in Loyalton.

14:13 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

15:29 - Verbal argument in Loyalton.

16:31 - Juvenile problem at the Loyalton middle school.

18:39 - Possible vehicle theft in the Verdi area. Highway Patrol was notified.

Wednesday, October 8

07:54 - A deputy assisted Susanville Highway Patrol with the Loyalton Elementary bike rodeo.

09:08 - Report of an approved Forest Service and Cal Fire controlled burn at Independence Lake.

11:14 - Report of a mother bear and cub constantly getting into the Downieville Grocery Store’s trash can. Fish and Wildlife and Sierra County Public Works were notified.

15:17 - Civil service successfully served in Sierra Brooks.

15:34 - A hiker in the Lakes Basin area got lost. Deputies were able to locate and transport the subject to safety using an off-road vehicle.

20:07 - Mental health issue in Loyalton. The subject was assisted with the help of the Sheriff’s Office, Probation Department, Eastern Plumas Hospital, Behavioral Health, and Loyalton Fire.

Thursday, October 9

07:44 - Sierra County inmate transported from the Nevada County jail for a court date.

21:07 - Report of a bear trying to get into garbage in Downieville, with the caller concerned it would cause damage to a vehicle. While making the report, the caller said the bear had gone away. Fish and Wildlife was notified.

22:59 - Ambulance requested in Calpine.

23:00 - A camper reported being attacked while in a tent at Lookout Campground near Crystal Peak; however, the camper didn’t hear or see anyone attacking. A deputy made contact and did not find anything abnormal, but waited while the camper packed up.

Friday, October 10

10:07 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

12:13 - Confirmed wolf kill of a calf at a Sierra Valley ranch. Fish and Wildlife was notified.

12:37 - Civil standby requested within the county.

14:07 - Juvenile issue at the Loyalton middle school.

14:27 - Deputies assisted someone needing medical attention in Loyalton.

15:07 - Someone left a purse at the Red Moose Cafe in Sierra City.

15:46 - Possibly abandoned vehicle in the woods south of Sierraville. The Forest Service was notified.

15:59 - Report of suspected child abuse from the Loyalton middle school.

16:24 - Traffic hazard on Highway 49 west of Loyalton.

20:25 - A caller reported a possible fight inside a neighbor’s residence. A deputy responded but did not hear anything. There were no other witnesses, and no one answered the door to the residence.

Saturday, October 11

13:26 - Ambulance requested in Calpine.

17:30 - Deer tag sign-off requested in Sierra City.

17:54 - Trespassing at a business in the Sierra City area involving the subject throwing items at someone else without injury.

19:09 - Deer tag signed off on by a deputy.

Sunday, October 12

00:09 - Report of loud yelling, music, and a party at a Cal-Ida campsite. A deputy made contact and admonished the group, after which they agreed to quiet down.

00:17 - A deputy removed rocks from Highway 49 near Convict Flat.

08:08 - Medical assistance requested in Alleghany.

15:52 - Report of a dirt bike crash near Stampede Reservoir.

16:17 - Report of possible stolen property in Goodyears Bar.

20:39 - Commercial burglary alarm activation in Loyalton. Deputies found nothing amiss.
