14:56 - A deputy provided transportation for someone from the Nevada County jail.

17:39 - Vehicle crash in Loyalton. Sierra County deputies responded and cleared the scene.

18:50 - Vandalism at the Indian Valley Outpost. A deputy made contact with the reporting party.

13:43 - Welfare check requested in Loyalton.

19:31 - Welfare check requested in Verdi by someone’s neighbor. The subject was safe and sound.

Wednesday, November 12

04:12 - Plumas County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call requesting a phone number. The information was passed along to the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office.

07:52 - Agency assist on a Sierra Valley ranch.

08:58 - Juvenile problem at Loyalton High School.

12:17 - 9-1-1 call with static on the line. Deputies searched the residence from which the call came, but the owner was not present.

14:00 - Property found near Babbitt Peak.

14:05 - Possible restraining order violation in the Downieville area.

16:11 - Abandoned vehicle in the Verdi area.

16:23 - Juvenile problem in the Sierra Valley.

22:52 - Cow on Smithneck Road near Loyalton. It was herded back into its field, and the field’s owner was contacted about a hole in the fencing.

06:57 - Controlled burning at the Ramshorn Transfer Station.

08:21 - Report of someone with an arrest warrant in Loyalton.

08:45 - Lift assist requested in Loyalton.

09:42 - Controlled burn near Stampede Reservoir.

10:16 - Someone from Loyalton lost a firearm: An Iver Johnson .410 single-shot shotgun. Serial number 322342B.

12:48 - Someone was given a ride in the Alleghany area.

13:52 - Report of suspicious circumstances in Sierra Brooks.

10:24 - A 5-acre controlled burn near Prosser Dam was visible from Highway 89 in Nevada County.

10:45 - Report of an illegal camper with children who may have been endangered. Deputies were unable to locate the reported campers.

11:28 - Report of possible drugs located near a dumpster in Downieville.

Saturday, November 15

04:56 - Burglary alarm activation in Sierra City. The Sheriff’s Office contacted the owner, who, while not home, was able to see through cameras that nothing was amiss.

07:04 - Report of a verbal argument in Loyalton. The arguing parties separated.

07:37 - Forest service conducted a 24-acre controlled burn in the Treasure Mountain Camp area.

09:44 - Controlled burn near Downieville.

12:22 - Coroner’s case in Downieville.

14:34 - Cell phone found at the Sierraville Barber Shop. The owner was located.

17:01 - Report of men with rifles riding off-road vehicles through a meadow in Sierra Brooks, possibly chasing deer. Deputies could not locate them.

18:15 - Single-vehicle crash with no injuries on Highway 49 near Rocky Rest. It was reported by iPhone vehicle crash detection, with no details. A deputy responded and found that the driver was intoxicated, so an arrest was made for driving under the influence.

Sunday, November 16

02:04 - A deputy found an orange barricade cone causing a traffic hazard over the Nevada state line. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office was notified.

06:35 - Report of an Apple computer scam in Calpine. The call was determined to be possibly mental health-related.

09:39 - Two dogs running loose on Highway 49 at Coyoteville chasing cars. Sacramento Highway Patrol was notified.

13:13 - Report of a crash with injuries on Dog Valley Road near the state line. Susanville Highway Patrol was notified.

19:53 - Mountain lion sighting in Loyalton.

21:52 - Mental health issue in Calpine.
