Monday, March 9
09:02 - 9-1-1 hang-ups.
12:02 - Notification of a controlled burn at the Sattley Transfer Station.
12:37 - Report of lost property in the Downieville area.
19:15 - Report of suspicious people driving on Ridge Road near Pike. A deputy was unable to locate the subjects.
Tuesday, March 10
07:25 - A deputy stopped to check on a vehicle over the Marysville Road embankment near Camptonville.
07:35 - Mental health issue in Sierraville.
07:58 - A Nevada County Jail inmate was transported to court.
09:56 - Fire alarm in Loyalton.
10:03 - Civil dispute in Pike.
10:11 - Wolf problem in the Sierra Valley.
10:30 - Someone was arrested in Quincy for a probation violation.
16:12 - A request for civil service in North San Juan was denied because the location was outside Sierra County.
16:40 - Lost property was found in Downieville and returned to its owner.
18:33 - Possible injured deer in the roadway near Loyalton. A deputy was unable to locate it.
21:10 - A deputy conducted a traffic stop and cited the driver for not having valid registration.
Wednesday, March 11
09:19 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.
10:07 - Report of a possible overdue party in Calpine, but it was determined that the party was at home.
11:58 - Request to release property from the Downieville Courthouse.
12:21 - Parking problem at the Downieville Courthouse.
12:45 - A deceased deer was removed from Smithneck Road near Loyalton.
20:52 - Report of people pointing lasers into the windows of a residence on Highway 49. A deputy conducted a search but was unable to locate the subjects.
21:27 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.
Thursday, March 12
06:58 - A fire alarm activation at the Downieville Courthouse was determined to likely have been caused by an electrical brown-out.
07:13 - A Nevada County Jail inmate was transported to court.
08:58 - Welfare check requested on a student absent from school in Loyalton. The student arrived late and was fine.
09:30 - Someone was arrested for violating a court order and driving with a suspended or revoked license in Downieville.
09:41 - Fire alarm in Loyalton. Loyalton Fire was notified.
10:59 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.
12:18 - Information provided to the Sheriff’s Office concerning a person of interest.
12:50 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.
14:45 - Accidental panic alarm activation in the Judge’s Chambers at the Downieville Courthouse.
15:53 - A Nevada County Jail inmate was transported to court.
16:28 - A vehicle became stuck in the snow near Crystal Peak. 775 Offroad and Recovery assisted in getting it free.
17:45 - Report of a custodial interference violation in the Downieville area. Social Services was involved, and a report was taken.
20:08 - A caller reported a possible domestic altercation in Verdi. It was determined to have been a verbal altercation only, with no crime having occurred. The event was documented.
20:40 - The Forest Service conducted a prescribed burn in the Dog Valley area.
21:20 - Lift assist requested in Loyalton.
21:40 - Abandoned vehicle on Dog Valley Road near Crystal Peak. Susanville Highway Patrol was notified.
23:36 - A deputy assisted Susanville Highway Patrol with arresting someone in Lassen County.
Friday, March 13
12:04 - Welfare check requested for a neighbor in Sierraville. The subject later required medical attention.
12:19 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.
12:24 - Report of a lost Google phone in Downieville.
14:44 - Citation issued for a restraining order violation in Loyalton.
19:46 - Possible fight near Camptonville. It was determined to be in Yuba County, and that county’s Sheriff’s Office was notified.
20:18 - Report of a dead bear blocking the roadway on Highway 89. Susanville Highway Patrol was notified.
22:10 - The Placer County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance with serving a felony warrant for someone who may have been living in Sierra City. Deputies were unable to locate the subject.
Saturday, March 14
08:00 - Report of a controlled burn in Loyalton.
09:15 - Loose cows on Highway 70. Susanville Highway Patrol was notified.
11:27 - Report of off-highway vehicles on county roads. The incident was handled by the Forest Service.
12:12 - Request for assistance getting unstuck from mud in the Dog Valley area. 775 Offroad and Recovery was notified.
22:44 - 9-1-1 hang-up. The Sheriff’s Office located the address from which the call originated, and deputies investigated. A subject was with family members and had possible mental health issues. The subject self-transported to the hospital with family members.
Sunday, March 15
07:36 - The Sheriff’s Office relayed information from the Highway Patrol about a possible traffic hazard in Downieville.
11:41 - Lost property was turned in to the Sheriff’s Office and was subsequently returned to its owner.
14:56 - Report of a vehicle crash outside of Sierra County.
18:46 - Possible animal cruelty in Sierra Brooks. A deputy made contact with the involved parties and wrote a report.
