11:10 - Report of lost property at the Visitors Center in Downieville.

12:14 - An out-of-county agency was attempting to locate someone who may enter Sierra County.

12:27 - Accidental 911 call in Sierraville.

14:10 - Overdue party reported in Downieville.

14:49 - Vandalism at Loyalton High School.

16:05 - Assault reported in Loyalton.

17:03 - Investigation near Reno.

Tuesday, April 22

09:21 - Someone was assisted with transportation from White’s gas station in Loyalton.

13:09 - Welfare check requested at Coyoteville in Downieville.

13:13 - Possible vandalism in Calpine reported.

13:31 - Someone used collectible silver coins to purchase alcohol and Leonard’s in Loyalton. The Sheriff’s Office isn’t aware of any stolen coins or currency, so it doesn’t seem anyone did anything wrong.

15:59 - Someone in Loyalton needed a fix-it ticket signed.

18:39 - A Sierra County Deputy helped someone change a tire near Vinton.

Wednesday, April 23

07:59 - Wolf problem near Loyalton.

08:13 - Ambulance requested in Goodyears Bar.

08:48 - Welfare check requested in Loyalton, but the person was not home.

09:50 - Successful service of a Notice of Public Auction to a Downieville property.

09:58 - Notice of public auction posted on First Street in Loyalton.

10:02 - Notice of public auction posted on Main Street in Loyalton.

11:12 - A US Department of Agriculture trapper collected four DNA swabs from a wound on the hindquarter of a suspected wolf-injured cow at Bar One Ranch near Loyalton. The Sheriff took possession of the DNA swabs and placed them into evidence.

14:22 - The Sheriff’s Office received information that Butte County was on the lookout for a subject wanted for domestic violence and considered armed. Grass Valley CHP located the suspect and placed him in custody.

15:59 - Burglary alarm at Loyalton Elementary School was found to be a food delivery.

19:31 - Accidental 911 call from a Goodyears Bar residence.

19:59 - Ambulance requested in Downieville.

Thursday, April 24

06:30 - Mountain lion under a Sierra City resident’s porch. Fish and Wildlife notified.

07:06 - Sierra County inmates transported to court.

07:27 - Two dogs were on Marysville Road. The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office was notified.

07:56 - Notification that the Sattley Transfer Station burn pile would be ignited.

08:54 - A bear broke into a Sierra City car. Fish and Wildlife notified.

10:01 - Aggressive dogs were reportedly not properly fenced in and attacked another dog in Calpine.

10:22 - Mountain lion walking around Sierra City midday. Fish and Wildlife notified.

??:?? - Welfare check requested for a subject acting strangely. The subject was not home.

17:42 - A senior citizen in Loyalton believes her card was used for personal purchases by an In-Home Supportive Services worker. Investigation is ongoing.

18:26 - Lift assist requested in Loyalton.

18:45 - Lost property in the Downieville area.

19:00 - Someone was locked out of a hotel room at Sierra Pines Resort.

21:28 - Traffic hazard on Highway 49 near Goodyears Bar.

21:41 - Someone arrested for driving under the influence at the Downieville bar.

22:18 - Welfare check in North San Juan found the subject safe and sound.

23:57 - Sierra County received Plumas County’s 911 calls during maintenance.

Friday, April 25

08:07 - Suspected wolf kill at DS Ranches near Loyalton. Sheriff and a Department of Agriculture trapper collected DNA swaps from the wounds of the deceased calf.

08:08 - Alarm went off in Downieville.

08:37 - The Loyalton Transfer Station burn pile was ignited.

10:48 - The Sheriff’s Office was notified that a Sierra County inmate was being taken to the hospital.

16:14 - Someone in Loyalton reported receiving a scam call from a person claiming to be a former Sierra County deputy. The caller was directed to report the incident to the FBI via their website.

18:25 - Possible chimney fire was found not to be an issue.

Saturday, April 26

01:49 - Report of a suspicious vehicle in Downieville.

08:05 - Ambulance requested in Pike.

10:18 - Someone called 911 to report that car keys had been stolen and the thief refused to return them. A few minutes later, the person called back to report that the keys were returned and no assistance was required.

10:54 - Confirmed wolf attack at DS Ranches in Vinton. The attack is the 12th at DS Ranches within 26 days. Of the 12 attacks, four calves have either been killed or euthanized due to the severity of the injuries. Despite Fish and Wildlife Game Wardens being present to haze wolves throughout the night, a calf still died from an attack.

12:04 - Civil dispute at the Downieville courthouse.

15:28 - Residential burglary alarm in Calpine was found to have been activated accidentally.

17:30 - Someone requested information about an ongoing investigation.

17:39 - An arrest was made on reckless driving charges in Calpine. The person also had an outstanding Lassen County warrant.

22:54 - A deer was attacked, reportedly by a wolf, in Sierra Brooks. The caller said the wolf had left the area before the call was made, but the deer was observed injured in a neighboring yard.

Sunday, April 27

09:59 - The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an abandoned 911 call in Beckwourth.

23:51 - Ambulance requested in Calpine.
