Monday, June 2

07:58 - Bear problem in Verdi.

08:26 - Threats made at the Loyalton school.

08:49 - Report of an electrical fire in Loyalton.

09:12 - Sierra County Probation conducted a search on a probationer in Quincy.

10:30 - Report of a restraining order violation in Sierra City.

12:31 - A 911 call got transferred to Sierra County, but the caller was not in the county.

12:33 - Report of “unusual behavior regarding a parking issue.”

13:27 - The Sheriff’s Office helped someone with a ride to an appointment.

17:35 - Someone gave information on the possible whereabouts of a friend in Loyalton.

18:42 - Vandalism reported in the North San Juan area. A deputy contacted the reporting party.

19:27 - Information was given to the Sheriff’s Office concerning a Loyalton matter.

22:50 - Reported motorcycle crash near Beckwourth was referred to the Highway Patrol and the Plumas County Sheriff.

Tuesday, June 3

07:17 - Juveniles causing problems at the Downieville High School.

10:08 - Ambulance requested in Pike.

12:39 - Accidental text to 911 from the Gold Lake area.

13:00 - Someone needed a ride out of Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.

15:40 - Report that an individual was walking in a remote area and may need assistance. Deputies located the subject and provided transportation.

18:24 - A fire alarm sounded in Loyalton.

18:42 - The Sheriff’s Office was notified that a vehicle had broken down near Bassetts, and a tow truck was on its way.

20:15 - 911 hang-up from Loyalton. Deputies checked the area, but nothing seemed amiss.

21:47 - A juvenile was complaining about items being taken away by parents as a disciplinary action. No crime was found to have occurred.

23:29 - The fire alarm at Downieville School sounded. Downieville Fire responded and found no signs of fire or smoke.

Wednesday, June 4

08:54 - Report of a vehicle near Indian Valley that looked to have been in an accident. The owner was located and tasked with removing the vehicle.

09:36 - Sierra County deputies participated in fire preparedness training at the Sierraville School.

14:16 - Juvenile issue in Loyalton involving possible cyberbullying and thievery. A deputy spoke with the involved parties.

15:10 - Juvenile issue in Sierra Brooks.

Thursday, June 5

08:17 - Abandoned vehicle in the woods near Pike was referred to the Forest Service.

10:21 - Someone from Loyalton called 911 to report that his phone wasn’t working, preventing him from calling his mother on her birthday.

16:18 - Civil issue in Loyalton.

20:02 - Report that a suspicious individual was doing unknown drugs inside a vehicle in Verdi. However, after questioning the caller, it was determined that there were no signs of drug use and that no crime was being committed.

Friday, June 6

10:24 - A fire alarm at the courthouse was activated as a result of a large water leak in town. The leak was resolved.

11:59 - Law enforcement was provided for a Loyalton High School senior event.

14:54 - Someone was arrested in Plumas County on a Sierra County warrant.

20:20 - Report of juveniles setting off firecrackers in Loyalton. They were gone when the law arrived.

22:39 - An overdue party reported to be in the Jackson Meadows area was found to be safe and sound at home.

22:39 - Report that the caller’s husband was overdue from a party at The Yubaverse near Downieville. A deputy made contact with the property owner, who confirmed that the husband was still there and safe.

Saturday, June 7

00:52 - Accidental alarm activation in Verdi due to a bat flying around. Sheriff’s Office response was not required.

08:26 - Possible vegetation fire on the Nevada side of the state line on I-80. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office was notified.

10:26 - A bear damaged property in Calpine.

10:42 - A Goodyears Bar caller reported receiving threatening messages and requested the Sheriff’s Office document them.

10:57 - An ambulance was requested for a bicycle accident on Highway 49 near Loyalton, but the fire department and ambulance could not locate the patient.

12:21 - Ambulance requested in Calpine.

12:33 - Request for documentation of a family altercation.

13:01 - Report of a possible suicidal subject in Pike, but a phone welfare check on the subject found no signs of harm to self or others.

16:01 - A family disturbance in Sierra Brooks led to a 5150 mental health hold on an individual for risk to others.

18:05 - Three dirt bikers were stuck in snow above Downieville. Before deputies could reach them, they were able to walk out and hitch a ride with a passerby.

Sunday, June 8

06:38 - Report of someone sleeping in a vehicle in Goodyears Bar.

08:14 - Ambulance requested in Sierra City.

08:29 - Accidental alarm activation in Bassetts.

09:41 - Dog problem in Calpine.

10:15 - Dog problem in Sierra Brooks.

11:50 - Medical assistance requested in Downieville.

12:24 - Report of lost property in Downieville.

12:38 - Report of someone in a broken-down vehicle on Highway 49 near Indian Valley Campground.

13:05 - The peace in Sierra City may have been disturbed.

13:35 - Ambulance requested on Highway 49.

14:41 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

15:09 - Possible reckless driver in Sierra City.

15:38 - Report of a vehicle crash on Highway 49 near Sierra City.

16:03 - Vegetation fire in Loyalton. Loyalton Fire and the Forest Service responded, and it was quickly contained and extinguished.

18:17 - A Sierra Buttes hiker was reported overdue but later made contact with family safe and sound.
