14:29 - Possible wolf depredation of a calf on a Sierra Valley ranch. During investigation, two additional dead calves were discovered at a nearby ranch, one being a confirmed wolf kill and the other a probable wolf kill. Samples were collected.

08:26 - A caller first wanted to file a complaint for police brutality, but then needed law enforcement help in getting a tow truck to bring a vehicle home. “The complaint was unfounded and the subject and vehicle were towed out of county back to the subject’s place of residency.”
08:53 - Reported theft of a floor buffer and pads from the old Sierraville School building.
09:12 - A 12-pound white female dog went missing in Loyalton but was found and returned.
09:13 - Civil dispute at the Plumbago Bridge construction site.
09:43 - Someone was arrested in Chilcoot for a probation violation.
11:20 - A skunk was inside someone’s garage in Loyalton. Fish and Wildlife was notified.
13:32 - Report that someone had stolen $200 in cash and 40 pills of lorazepam from an unlocked car in Sierra City.
15:18 - Someone was trespassed from a private property in Verdi. Arrangements were made for returning the subject’s belongings.
19:49 - Report of a reckless driver in Loyalton. A deputy could not locate the vehicle.
20:32 - A solo vehicle accident caused bodily injury to a passenger. The driver was arrested for felony charges of driving under the influence. The Tahoe Forest Service, Eastern Plumas Ambulance, Sierra County Fire Department, and Beckwourth Careflight assisted at the scene.

10:07 - Civil standby requested in Verdi.
10:45 - Two calves were attacked on a ranch with previously confirmed wolf depredations. The Sheriff’s Office collected DNA swabs from the rancher.
12:02 - Motorcycle crash with injuries at Convict Flat.
13:51 - Report of a possible smoke plume north of Stampede Reservoir turned out to be dust and dirt.
14:17 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.
15:13 - Wolf depredation of a calf near Sierraville. DNA swabs were collected.
15:37 - Medical alert activation in Loyalton. The patient was released against medical advice.
16:56 - Report of a camper brandishing a weapon at Fiddle Creek Campground. A deputy spoke with the involved parties, but nobody wanted to take further action.
17:18 - Possible intoxicated driver reported near Downieville. The Sacramento Highway Patrol was notified.
18:20 - Suspicious vehicle near Indian Valley Campground reported. A deputy found that no crime had occurred, and the driver of the vehicle was okay.
Saturday, July 19
10:27 - Two dogs were seized after they attacked someone in Calpine. Charges are pending against the owner.
11:07 - Another confirmed wolf depredation at a Sierra Valley ranch.
13:30 - Report of a dirt bike crash near Crystal Peak.
15:25 - A stranded motorist requested assistance at Stampede Reservoir but found help before deputies arrived.
15:35 - Tow truck requested for a recreational vehicle at Goose Lake.
16:40 - A driver’s license was found in Downieville. The Sheriff’s Office was able to locate the owner.
18:07 - Report of bridge jumpers in Downieville, but a deputy was unable to locate them.
21:27 - Report of screaming and yelling in Sierra City. It turned out to be from a party, and nobody was in distress.
22:06 - Someone was cited for driving a truck with expired registration through a red light controlling traffic on Highway 49.
Sunday, July 20
03:27 - Someone took bad GPS directions into the forest near Henness Pass Junction and needed help getting back to the road. Later, the same person’s car became stuck. Highway Patrol handled the situation.
10:36 - A possible overdue hiker in the Graeagle area was located safe.
11:23 - Dogs at large were turned over to the Truckee Humane Society. The owner of the dogs was located and reunited with them.
14:41 - Welfare check carried out on someone who locked keys in a vehicle near Sardine Lake.
16:47 - Ambulance requested in Goodyears Bar.
18:34 - AAA requested a welfare check on someone needing a tow on Gold Lake Highway. A deputy could not locate the vehicle described.
19:02 - Welfare check requested for someone in Loyalton who turned out to be safe and sound.
19:06 - Bear problem in Calpine reported to Fish and Wildlife.
