10:46 - Deputy requested to attend a public water meeting at the Sierra City Community Hall.

11:36 - Someone needed transportation from the Nevada County jail.

16:06 - Sign-off requested in Downieville on a fix-it ticket.

19:20 - Report of a reckless driver who had almost caused multiple accidents. When a deputy caught up with the driver, however, all laws were being obeyed, and the vehicle was parked at a residence.

19:49 - A phone reported a crash. It turned out the phone had been left on the roof of the vehicle and had fallen off. No crash occurred.

Tuesday, September 9

08:07 - Report of a wolf sighting near Sierra Brooks.

08:55 - Burglary alarm in Loyalton.

09:13 - Dog found in Loyalton.

11:04 - Report of a vehicle crash south of Sierraville on Highway 89.

12:34 - Report of a wolf attack on cattle at a Sierra Valley ranch.

12:36 - Possible wolf attack on cattle at another Sierra Valley ranch.

15:48 - Report of a mental health issue in Loyalton.

17:07 - Possible crash on Highway 89 near Stampede Reservoir.

20:59 - Accidental 9-1-1 dial from Loyalton.

21:24 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

Wednesday, September 10

10:47 - Possible illegal camper in Downieville.

11:24 - Juvenile issue at the Loyalton High School.

13:32 - Possible hit and run in Downieville.

18:16 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

18:27 - A wolf attack on a calf at a Sierra Valley ranch was confirmed by Fish and Wildlife.

22:07 - Ambulance requested in Calpine.

Thursday, September 11

07:12 - Possible lightning fire in the Long Valley area.

07:53 - An inmate was transported to court.

08:12 - Report of a reckless driver near Loyalton.

09:08 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

14:04 - Petty theft reported in Loyalton.

14:31 - Report of financial elder abuse in Downieville. The issue was resolved.

14:37 - Separate report of financial elder abuse in Downieville. An investigation will occur.

14:40 - Report of elder abuse in Calpine.

15:04 - Sierra County Fire requested assistance for a special event at Sierra Hot Springs.

16:27 - A reporting party believed someone was trespassing on a property. It turned out the subject was not at the property.

18:05 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

18:44 - Through a dating app, someone was convinced to meet a girl in a remote area near the state line. The person “panicked and ran away,” and was later given a ride by the Sheriff’s Office to Bordertown.

18:45 - Report of a restraining order violation, but the protected party did not want to press charges.

20:11 - Report of reckless driving in the Loyalton School parking lot. A deputy could not locate a driver.

Friday, September 12

07:32 - Possible abandoned vehicle on private property in Sierra City.

12:22 - Report of trespassing in Loyalton.

15:17 - An overdue hiker was able to find a way to safety.

Saturday, September 13

07:23 - Report of a fatal crash on Highway 395 near the state line.

10:11 - Possible wolf on the caller’s property. Possible wolf tracks were also found. Fish and Wildlife was notified.

14:51 - Someone was arrested and charged with spousal battery after a report was made.

Sunday, September 14

11:22 - Ambulance requested after a mountain biker had an allergic reaction on a trail above Downieville.

12:28 - Deputies came across what was suspected to be an abandoned bus near Bordertown, but it ended up being occupied. No vehicle codes were being violated.

17:11 - Report of a vegetation fire near Interstate 80, close to Floriston.

18:14 - Report of a possible stolen vehicle near Sierra City, but the vehicle turned out not to be stolen.

19:34 - Report of an illegal campfire behind the Downieville gas station, but none could be found when a deputy checked.
