Structure Fire in Pike
In addition to the Pike City and Alleghany Fire Depts (Pliocene Ridge CSD) the following agencies provided support: Camptonville Fire Dept, North San Juan FPD and the US Forest Service. Several Cal Fire engines and Washington Ridge hand crews were canceled before arriving on scene. The twenty-five firefighters on scene kept the fire contained at ¼ to ½ acre. All units were back in quarters by 4 the following morning. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Pike City Fire Department was first on scene and discovered that it was a structure fire that had escaped into the wildland. The small unoccupied cabin on Glory Hole Road was destroyed before the first units arrived.
