To the Voters of Sierra County,
Now that the election results have been certified, I want to thank all of you who supported me, took the time to talk with me, and/or voted for me to be your next Sierra County Superior Court Judge. To everyone who endorsed me, I sincerely appreciated your camaraderie, which provided incredible encouragement and truly drove this campaign toward success. I also want to thank my opponent, Mr. David Garner, as well as his supporters for putting so much heart into this election process.
After 20+ years of working with Sierra County residents, first as an attorney for many of you and for the last seven years as your Court Commissioner, it is truly a dream come true to be elected to serve as your Superior Court Judge. I look forward to working more closely with Sierra County’s Presiding Judge Charles Ervin and am thrilled to continue working with the phenomenal staff at the courthouse. Driven by my passion for justice and dedication to ensuring fairness and equality, I prioritize giving each person in court the opportunity to be heard, providing a calm demeanor, and applying the rule of law to the facts presented. I believe in public service, and my family’s motto to “put others first” is how I strive to live daily, and you will see that put into action in the courtroom.
During this election season, you reinforced the amazing sense of community and pride in this county, and you stressed how important it is to have leaders who genuinely care for the residents. Know that I am committed to Sierra County for the long haul, and it is my desire to humbly serve as your Superior Court Judge with integrity and dedication until I retire from the bench in the distant future.
With sincere thanks to you all,
Hon. John “Jason” LaChance
