Feather Publishing was one of the largest newspaper publishers in the region, printing six local weekly newspapers in addition to The Messenger and Booster. Print publication of those newspapers ended during the 2020, but the company continues to publish the High Country Life magazine and the Plumas County Visitors Guide.

The Messenger thanks Cobey Brown, Eva Small, Tom Forney, Randy Stratton, Isaiah Hamilton, Mary Newhouse, and Patsy Dingel for their continuous support; they went above and beyond to ensure our paper was printed every week. Feather Publishing was also instrumental in helping us transition to our new publisher. The Messenger is now being printed by The Appeal-Democrat in Marysville, and we thank their team for allowing us to continue into our 171st year of continuous publication.
