Wrapping Up the 2025 Sierra City Summer Concerts

Music at the Mine Press Release

August 15, 2025

SIERRA CITY — All good things must come to an end, and that remains true for the summer concert scene in Sierra City. We are, however, excited to be closing out the summer on a high note at both the Sierra Pines Resort Meadow and the Kentucky Mine Amphitheater. Both shows will feature high-energy, dance-inducing bands that will “rock your socks off.”

Up first will be Matt Rainey and the Dippin’ Sauce at the Kentucky Mine Amphitheater on Saturday, August 16, at 7:30 PM. Expect a high-energy electric blues performance that will truly enrapture blues aficionados and folks who simply appreciate skilled musicians showcasing the music they love to perform. While Matt and his mates perform a lot of original material, you will definitely hear echoes of blues greats such as Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy, and a host of other blues legends.

The final show of the summer will be at the Sierra Pines Resort meadow on August 31 and feature the dynamic, tropically tinged rock, soul, blues, funk and reggae of the Island of Black and White. Fronted by charismatic lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Chris Haislet, the band performs a variety of music, including originals and deliciously reimagined covers. Their collective energy is “through the roof,” and their performances remind us why we are so attracted to the live music experience. Their 2023 concert at the Kentucky Mine Amphitheater clearly ranks as one of the most memorable shows to have ever graced the Music at the Mine musical legacy.

Hope to see you at the Mine or in the Meadow! Or better yet, perhaps we will see you at both events!
