The crowd cheered as the 3 rolls of bubble wrap were rolled through the parade by our own Downieville High School Graduates, Riley Pearmund, Mia Martinelli and Landon Jackson. Then, the crowd jumped up for joy at the end of the parade as the 3 graduates unrolled the 4 foot by 250 foot rolls down Main Street. Ah!, the noise, the laughter, the visual of everyone, young and old, especially the little ones, stomping to their hearts delight. Pop! Pop! Pop!

A huge THANK YOU to Riley, Mia and Landon for their participation. And a grateful Thank You to those who helped roll back back up the remains of the fireless fireworks, especially Downieville’s own Jacob Sainsbury and Jessie Folsom.

We raised enough money through the generous donations of the Downieville Lions Club, the Downieville Fire Auxiliary, the Downieville Volunteer Firefighters Association, Downieville Grocery, Two Rivers Café, Larry Heine and Jackie Marovich of Lake County, and all of you who put your dollars into the tins at Sierra Hardware and Downieville Grocery. Thank you all!
