Fire departments respond to medical emergencies and trainings; illegal BBQ reported in Sierra City.

WESTERN SIERRA COUNTY

Monday, August 12

  • Pike City Fire had a medical call for an ill person. Patient was transported to hospital.

Tuesday, August 13

  • Sierra City Fire & Downieville Ambulance had a medical call for an ill person. Patient was flown by air ambulance, to hospital.

Wednesday, August 14

  • Sierra City Fire had training.

Thursday, August 15

  • Sierra City had a report of a fire. It turned out to be an illegal BBQ. We are currently at a stage 3 Fire danger and charcoal BBQs are banned in the Tahoe National Forest.

  • Downieville Fire had training.

  • Allghany Fire had a medical call for an ill person. Patient was transported to hospital.

Sunday, August 18

  • Downieville Ambulance was requested to aid an injured mountain biker. Patient was treated and released.
