SIERRA CITY - Well, we pulled it off again and even though it was quite smoky from the fires south of here, 55 registered cars lined up along HWY 49 in beautiful downtown Sierra City where a good time was had by all! Save the date for the show next year which falls on September 15-16, 2023. This year we had our Tahoe National Forest Firefighters and friends attend the event and they even brought Smokey the Bear along who awarded the “Smokey’s Choice” award to an unsuspecting 1956 Chevy Bel Air. We tried something a little different with the Meet and Greet which was held in the Sierra Skies Sierra City park across from the Country Store. There was live music with Danny Horton and friends along with a free taco bar. We would like to continue this tradition in the future as it proved to be a lot of fun for everyone who attended. A special thanks to all of the businesses and locals who sponsored an award this year and to all of those who attended and donated to our cause. We couldn’t raise as much money without those kind donations! We would also like to thank the Sierra County Arts Council for helping us bring local music to the park. Proceeds from this year’s show will benefit the Sierra City Volunteer Fire Department. So, without further adieu, here are the winners!
