Candidates File for Plumas County Offices

Local voters will choose supervisors and key county officials in the June primary election.

QUINCY — Since the deadline to file for the June election passed on March 6, a few political signs have started to appear along Plumas County roads. County Registrar of Voters Marcy DeMartile provided the following list of candidates running for local offices in this year’s elections.

  • Supervisor District 3: Shawn McKenzie (CEO, Seneca Healthcare District), Douglas Brower (pastor, CEO)

  • Supervisor District 5: Jeff Engel (incumbent), Mimi Gardner (real estate broker), Nick Collin (Director of County Facility Services)

  • Superintendent of Schools: Andrea White (appointed School Superintendent)

  • Assessor: Cynthia (Cindie) Froggatt (incumbent)

  • ​Auditor - Controller: Martee H. Nieman (incumbent)

  • ​Treasurer - Tax Collector: Julie A. White (incumbent), Katherine Clift Clubb (Treasurer-Tax Collection Officer II)

  • Clerk-Recorder / Registrar of Voters: Julie Hagwood (Assistant Clerk-Recorder / Registrar of Voters)

  • Superior Court Judge: W. Wayne Yates, Jr. (attorney), Madeline Warren (Deputy District Attorney)
