Downieville ATM Alive After Transplants

DOWNIEVILLE — The Wells Fargo ATM in Downieville is working again after being out of service for well over two weeks. Last Friday, a hardware technician was finally able to coordinate with a software technician to get the machine opened, replace antennae, and reprogram software until the cash dispenser was brought back to life. The ATM was being worked on well into Friday evening and was operational again on Saturday morning. According to a Wells Fargo representative, the fix required the cooperation of five third-party contractors.
