DOWNIEVILLE — Downieville High School’s senior class held a car wash on Friday, September 19, from 12:30 to 4 PM. The event raised money for the class’s school trip fund, which already held over $5,000. Seniors say they would like to put the money toward a trip to Hawaii, but several other ideas have been floated. Despite difficulties, such as the class having to pay travel expenses for a chaperone, they are well on their way. Proceeds from the car wash have not yet been counted, but are estimated at $500.
