Gumba’s restaurant and the Village Baker in Blairsden were totally destroyed by fire in the early morning hours of September 15th of this year. The community is still in shock. We are all just realizing what the loss means to the general population, especially employees who have just lost their livelihood.

Gumba’s management has always been a supporter of community fundraising activities. White Sulphur Springs Ranch (WSSR) was scheduled to share a portion of the restaurant’s income on September 20th. Because of this tragic fire, WSSR and contributing local businesses will offer a way to pay back previous years of generosity by sponsoring a fundraiser to benefit all the victims. It will be held at the Graeagle Fire Hall on Sunday, October 15th. Event organizer Tim Buckhout arranged a ranch-style barbeque dinner with all the trimmings, including music and a silent auction on Sunday, October 15th, at 7620 Highway 89 in downtown Graeagle.

The hours are from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and tickets are available online only at WhiteSulphurSpringsRanch.com. The ticket price for adults is $50. Kids under 12 can attend for $25. Call Tim at 925-321-3354 for any questions.
