NORTH SAN JUAN - Is your chili THE CHILI that brings everyone over, bowl and spoon in hand? Do your guests tell you that your chili is THE BEST CHILI they have ever tasted? Do diners always take seconds and thirds, while exclaiming that your chili is THE BEST CHILI EVER? Are you ready to put their claims to the test by letting your community decide? If so, make up your best batch of chili and bring it down to the North San Juan Community Center on Saturday, February 18th at 10:30 a.m. as we set up for the Inaugural NSJ Chili Cook-off. Doors open to tasters at 11a.m.

We invite the entire community to come down and wander through our vendor booths, enjoy live music from the open mic, and taste the chili. Your votes will determine the Communities Choice Chili ($100 prize), the I’d Drive in Snow for That Chili ($60 prize), and the That’s Damn Fine Chili ($40 prize.) Tasters pay $10 for tasting set. Beverages, Salad, and Cornbread will also be available for purchase separately.

Chili Chef’s pay a $20 entry fee. Vendors interested in reserving a $20 parking lot booth space and Chili Chef’s seeking to register to participate, can contact the NSJ Community Center at NSJCommunityCenter@gmail.com or (530) 522-8205.
