Press Release by Sierra County Public Health October 11, 2023 — Sierra County Public Health conducted the 15th Annual Drive-thru Flu Shot event in Loyalton. The event occurred at the Sierra Valley Cogen Business Park Loop from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. 123 participants received fast, convenient, and free flu shots while sitting in their vehicles. The event’s success was made possible through the support of Social Services, Public Health, Sheriff’s Office, Behavioral Health, Office of Emergency Services, and the Loyalton Fire Department Explorers: Alexander Green, Nevaeh Witherspoon, Gabe Fhebus, James Plessas, and Breanna Polastrini. Special thanks to Sierra Valley Cogen LLC, Jeff Holland, and Kathie Fenley for welcoming the event to the mill property and assisting with preparation.
