Oregon Fire Near Bullards Bar Quickly Contained

BULLARDS BAR — Early this morning, around 4 AM, the “Oregon” vegetation fire started near Marysville Road close to New Bullards Bar Reservoir. The fire was estimated to be 2 to 3 acres, burning brush and timber and advancing at a moderate rate of speed, according to Cal Fire. Several fire engines and crews responded, including Pike City Fire Department’s Water Tender 67, which was requested at around 5:15 AM. By 7 AM, Cal Fire confirmed that the fire had been fully contained.
