PLUMAS COUNTY—After publishing Sierra County’s election results, we received a request to cover Plumas County’s results. The Plumas County website notes that as of March 11th, 1,540 ballots were still to be counted. Additionally, the county initially failed to include local Sales Tax Measure A on Portola ballots and sent supplemental ballots to Portola voters, which may affect the current totals for that race. The following tallies have not been updated since 8:25 p.m. on March 5th. The remaining ballots will be counted on Thursday, March 14th, and results are expected to be posted that afternoon. Update: The following results have been updated as of 11:37 a.m. on 3/15. Approximately 250 votes remain to be counted. Superior Court Judge, Department 1 William Abramson has secured just 56 more votes than W. Wayne Yates, Jr., with 2,976 to Yates’ 2,920. The race is still too close to call. County Supervisor District 1 — Dwight Ceresola - 100% Ceresola is running unopposed and has secured 774 votes. County Supervisor District 2 — Kevin Goss - 100% Goss is running unopposed and has secured 912 votes. County Supervisor District 4 — Mimi Hall - 60.73% Hall will unseat the incumbent Gregory Hagwood, having 804 votes to Hagwood’s 492. Hall was Plumas County’s Public Health Director and President of the County Health Executives Association of California. Sales Tax Measure A — NO - 40.54% Measure A, which would impose a 3/4ths percent sales tax to support the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office, has not secured the necessary 2/3rds vote to pass. Democrat Presidential Nominee — Joseph R Biden Jr - 81.28% Biden has received 1,837 votes. Marianne Williamson holds a distant second place with 68. Republican Presidential Nominee — Donald J. Trump - 80.62% Trump has received 2,754 votes. Nikki Haley has secured the second most with 519. United States Senator — Steve Garvey - 46.49%, Adam B. Schiff - 23.21% Garvey and Schiff will both advance to November’s general election ballot. United States Senator (Partial/Unexpired Term) — Steve Garvey - 47.83%, Adam B. Schiff - 21.79% Similar to the regular senate race, both candidates will advance to the November ballot. United States Representative, District 3 — Kevin Kiley - 58.31%, Jessica Morse - 35.53% Both candidates will advance to the November general election. State Senator, District 1 — Megan Dahle - 65.26%, David Fennell - 13.18% Dahle and Fennell were the only candidates running for District 1 Senator and will fill the two open positions. State Assembly Member, District 1 — Heather Hadwick - 30.66% Hadwick has a convincing lead over her opponents, Mark Mezzano and Tenessa Audette, with 2,056 votes to Mezzano’s 1,192 and Audette’s 1,073. Proposition 1 — NO - 64.03% Plumas County voters rejected Proposition 1. With a vote total difference of under 20,000, the statewide race is too close to call but leans YES.
