Public Meeting on Herbicide Spraying in Plumas National Forest Announced
Grassroots group will host September 22 discussion at Quincy library.

QUINCY — The Plumas Grassroots Collective announced at the September 15 meeting of the county’s Board of Supervisors that the group will hold a public meeting on the use of herbicides in Plumas National Forest on September 22, from 5 to 8 PM at the Quincy Public Library. The goal of the meeting, according to the group’s representative Taylor Durgan, will be to share the organization’s “informative data-driven work” and to create a “welcoming space where the community can come together, share experiences, concerns, questions, and perspectives openly.”
The Grassroots Collective created an online tool at https://www.spraymapca.org showing the locations and amounts of herbicide applications in Plumas County.
