Saturday, January 24
00:28 - A traffic stop was conducted on Highway 395, during which consent to a vehicle search was given. The driver was issued multiple citations for traffic violations and controlled substance violations.
08:35 - Wolf attack on a pregnant ewe near Beckwourth.
16:24 - Report of a possible intruder at a Calpine residence. A deputy spoke with the caller and determined the concern was related to ongoing mental health challenges the resident was experiencing, not an actual break-in.
16:41 - Traffic stop conducted on Highway 395. The driver had multiple warrants in another county for which he was cited. The vehicle was towed.
19:48 - Report of a family member with a firearm trying to break into a residence in Sierraville. The subject left before deputies arrived, but was later located driving a vehicle. Deputies confiscated the firearm due to intoxication, and Susanville Highway Patrol took control for DUI processing. It was determined that no crime had occurred at the residence.
21:51 - Someone was arrested in Sierraville for driving under the influence.
22:10 - Report of a possible fire near Calpine. It was determined that the Tahoe Forest Service was conducting a controlled burn in the area.
