11:49 - Possible wolf depredation on livestock in the Sierra Valley. The cause of death could not be determined.

12:23 - The Highway Patrol informed the Sheriff’s Office about a vehicle to look out for in the Greagle area.

13:40 - Coroner’s case in Loyalton.

15:54 - Probation searches conducted in eastern Sierra County.

16:29 - Report of illegal campers in Downieville.

Tuesday, October 21

08:42 - The Forest Service gave notification for a prescribed burn north of Truckee.

09:20 - Another notification of prescribed burning near Independence Lake.

11:37 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

13:09 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

13:14 - Report of smoke near Sierraville. It was determined to be from a prescribed burning operation.

17:45 - Report of theft in Loyalton.

18:24 - A lost hiker could not return to a vehicle after hiking. A deputy made contact and drove the hiker back to the vehicle.

19:32 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

Wednesday, October 22

08:25 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

09:47 - Open 9-1-1 call from Loyalton. Deputies could not locate any emergency.

09:50 - Notification of prescribed burning north of Truckee.

11:18 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

12:05 - Abandoned vehicle in the Verdi area. Truckee Highway Patrol was notified.

13:33 - The probation department handled a juvenile problem at the Loyalton Middle School.

16:35 - Lost Apple Watch in Downieville.

16:39 - Report of illegal burning at a Loyalton residence.

19:25 - Ambulance requested in Sierraville.

Thursday, October 23

05:06 - A Nevada County Jail inmate was transported for a court date.

13:37 - Test 9-1-1 calls made from a cell phone provider.

20:29 - Ambulance requested near Sierraville.

20:56 - A deputy found a disabled vehicle near Goodyears Bar. The driver asked for help contacting a friend for assistance, which was provided by the deputy.

21:53 - Two pug puppies were found wandering in Loyalton. They were returned to their owner.

Friday, October 24

07:58 - Report of an abandoned vehicle near Bordertown.

10:53 - Sierra County Probation assisted with a civil standby and transportation in Loyalton.

14:22 - Money found in Downieville. The money was later collected by its owner.

15:45 - A person found a set of keys on his or her front porch in Sierra City. It was left with the Sheriff’s Office.

16:10 - Homeless encampment found near Bordertown. The occupant was told to move along.

16:37 - Deputies spoke with off-road vehicle drivers near the state line.

16:52 - Deputies investigated a homeless encampment near the state line.

18:08 - Report of a driver doing burnouts and speeding through Loyalton. A deputy could not locate the reported vehicle.

18:27 - A caller to 9-1-1 thought that a person the Sheriff’s Office was looking for to serve paperwork was in Loyalton. The Sheriff’s Office explained that it was not looking for that person.

18:59 - Request for a deputy to check on a possibly drunk parent at the Downieville School Halloween carnival. A deputy made contact but determined the parent was not drunk. Still, a report was sent to Child Protective Services for a follow-up.

Saturday, October 25

07:48 - Accidental 9-1-1 call from Loyalton.

08:20 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton. Patient released against medical advice.

10:09 - Report of unattended burn pile in Sierra City. The fire department found that the property owner was monitoring the fire from inside the residence.

10:36 - Injured animal on Highway 49.

12:58 - Ambulance requested at the Loyalton High School football field.

13:20 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

14:02 - Report of a downed tree blocking Highway 49 near Bassetts. The tree was cleared before Caltrans arrived.

15:26 - Cow on the road near Sattley. It was driven back into its pasture by its owner.

15:43 - A driver was stuck in mud near Gibsonville. The driver initially refused Sheriff’s Office help after learning there would be a long wait and that only a ride for the individual would be provided, with the driver having to find other assistance to get the vehicle out. He later wanted the help, which a deputy was able to provide.

16:50 - A parking problem in the Loyalton area was resolved.

17:34 - Abandoned vehicle in the Loyalton area. Susanville Highway Patrol was notified.

18:59 - Report of a reckless driver in Loyalton. A deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.

Sunday, October 26

04:30 - Ambulance requested in Verdi.

16:41 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

16:54 - Report of fraud in Loyalton.

19:59 - Accidental 9-1-1 call from Sierra City.
