12:16 - Report that someone in Downieville was harassing a juvenile and claiming that a bicycle the juvenile had was stolen. Deputies contacted the original owner of the bike, who said it had been left “up for grabs” for the public and was not stolen. Deputies advised the alleged harasser not to have further contact with the juvenile.

12:27 - 9-1-1 hang-up from Sierra Brooks.

13:20 - Report of threats made in Downieville.

14:11 - Accidental fire alarm activation in Loyalton.

15:30 - A deputy was provided with information in Calpine.

16:25 - Report of threatening messages in Downieville.

16:32 - Noise complaint in Loyalton.

19:28 - Report of possible elder abuse in Loyalton.

Wednesday, December 17

13:32 - Report of dogs barking in a vehicle at the Downieville post office. The vehicle was later seen driving away by the reporting party.

14:07 - A deputy provided traffic control while an AT&T vehicle was being unstuck on LaPorte Road.

15:04 - Civil service successfully completed in Verdi.

15:22 - “Mistaken comment” in Loyalton.

17:03 - Someone was arrested in Calpine on two outstanding Sierra County warrants for failure to appear in court. During that process, the person picked up an additional charge for resisting arrest. Additionally, a Lassen County warrant for the person was placed on hold.

Thursday, December 18

06:37 - Cattle on Smithneck Road. The owner was notified.

07:35 - Tahoe National Forest conducted a controlled burn near Sierraville.

09:37 - Report of a stranded motorist at Bassetts.

12:40 - False burglary alarm activation in Loyalton.

17:54 - Report of an overdue party in eastern Sierra County, but the party later made it home safely.

19:37 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

20:16 - Report taken concerning a custodial dispute in Loyalton.

Friday, December 19

07:20 - Tree down on Highway 49. Caltrans was notified.

09:15 - Juvenile issue at the Loyalton middle school.

12:31 - A juvenile pulled the fire alarm at the Loyalton Middle School. There was no emergency.

15:44 - Possible assault and battery at the Indian Valley Outpost. The Sheriff’s Office is awaiting additional details.

17:35 - Report of a possible burglary attempt in Downieville. It was found to be a family member of the property owner.

Saturday, December 20

09:40 - Possible wolf sighting in the Sierraville area.

16:07 - 9-1-1 call with static on the line from Calpine.

21:40 - A person said they hadn’t received help with an incident in San Bernardino County for over two years, so the person was calling all Sheriff’s Offices. The Sierra County Sheriff’s Office believes a mental health issue may be involved.

22:11 - Report of elder abuse in Loyalton.

Sunday, December 21

11:59 - Animal problem in the Sattley area.

12:18 - Report of custodial issues in Downieville.

15:27 - “Request for a welfare check on the ATM in Downieville. ATM is safe and

sound.”

15:34 - Report of a possible accidental fire alarm activation in Sierra City.

18:44 - Tree down on Ridge Road. The Roads Department was notified.

19:32 - Report of a reckless driver on Highway 70 near Portola. Highway Patrol was notified.

22:55 - Resource information was given to someone struggling with mental health issues out of county.

23:04 - Mental health issue in the Loyalton area.
