13:10 - Traffic hazard in the Sierra City area.
13:12 - Agency assist on the A23 road near Calpine.
14:42 - Report of a burglary alarm in Sierra City.
14:57 - A vehicle crashed in the snow on Highway 89 near Sierraville.
15:32 - Report of a vehicle crash on Highway 70 near Vinton.
16:10 - Traffic hazard on Highway 49.
16:30 - A deputy made contact with snowmobile riders in Loyalton.

18:05 - A deputy became stuck in the snow on Highway 49 near Sierraville. The deputy’s spouse was contacted to pull the vehicle free.
18:38 - A vehicle stuck in snow near Sierraville was pulled free by Caltrans.
20:10 - Request for the ATM in Downieville to be checked after the power went out.
21:31 - Report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident on Highway 89 south of Sierraville.
Wednesday, February 18
00:50 - Ambulance requested in Sierra City.
01:42 - Report of a vehicle stuck in the embankment on Highway 49 near Sierra City. The driver was able to free the vehicle.
05:03 - Report of an over-length semi with no chains at the Yuba Pass. The Highway Patrol was notified.
05:21 - Vehicle stuck in snow on Highway 89 near Sierraville.
08:02 - Report of a damaged power line in Sierra City.
15:12 - The Highway Patrol and Sierra County Sheriff’s Office performed traffic stops and escorts for semi trucks without chains on Highway 49.
15:40 - Report of theft of tools in Pike.
16:05 - A semi truck was turned around for not having chains in Loyalton.
17:14 - Civil dispute in Sierra City.
20:27 - Report of a possible broken-down or stuck vehicle on Highway 49. A deputy was unable to locate the vehicle, and the Highway Patrol was notified.
Thursday, February 19
07:43 - Request for Loyalton Fire to assist with a structure fire in Beckwourth. Loyalton Fire had no responders available.
08:26 - Report of propane smell near the Downieville Post Office. It was found that a propane line had been damaged by a tree.
08:41 - A downed tree was blocking both lanes of Highway 49 near Union Flat. Caltrans was notified.
08:57 - Report of phone lines down in Sierra City. AT&T was notified.
09:49 - Ambulance requested in Sierraville.
09:50 - Report of a vehicle with a flat tire blocking traffic on Highway 49 near the county line. The Susanville Highway Patrol was notified.
10:46 - Report of a possible over-length semi headed toward the Yuba Pass. The Susanville Highway Patrol was notified.
11:38 - Possible power line down in Goodyears Bar. PG&E was notified.
11:49 - Report of semi trucks in the Sierraville area without chains. The Susanville Highway Patrol was notified but unable to respond.
13:35 - Request for help getting a vehicle unstuck from snow on Dog Valley Road. The driver had followed GPS instructions, attempting to get around the I-80 road closure, despite the road being unplowed with a caution sign. The driver was assisted by 775 Offroad and Recovery.
16:32 - 9-1-1 call requesting that a county road be plowed in Pike. The caller was provided with the county road department’s phone number.
18:08 - Request to speak with the Sheriff to check how the Sheriff’s Office was handling the weather.
18:35 - Citizen assist in the Verdi area.
18:40 - Citizen complaint regarding lack of resources in western Sierra County.
18:56 - Traffic stop conducted on a semi truck passing through Loyalton. The vehicle was not equipped with chains, so the driver was told not to proceed further for the night until conditions improved.
19:44 - Welfare check in Sierra City.
21:15 - Report of a possibly lost snowmobiler in the Verdi area. While arrangements were made for a hasty search, the missing party contacted a deputy and returned safely to a vehicle.
21:54 - Ambulance requested in Sierra City.
Friday, February 20
13:41 - Welfare check requested in Sierra City.
15:17 - Information provided to the Sheriff’s Office about possible fraud in Alleghany.
15:46 - Report of someone possibly stealing snowmobile keys and stranding an individual at a cabin. A deputy searched the area but could not locate the subject, and the caller declined to press charges.
19:36 - Ambulance requested in Downieville.
Saturday, February 21
08:42 - Report of trespassing in Calpine.
10:35 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.
12:25 - Request for a welfare check in Sierra City.
14:51 - Report of a possibly impaired driver on Highway 89.
19:34 - Someone tested the phone lines in Sierra City by calling 9-1-1.
20:02 - Report of overdue snowmobilers near the Yuba Pass. While a deputy was responding, the caller called back to confirm they were returning safely.
20:13 - Report of a loose dog on the highway. After investigating, the highway was determined to be in Fresno County’s jurisdiction. The information was relayed to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
Sunday, February 22
01:48 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.
17:19 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.
18:10 - Report of lights on in the US Forest Service lot in Downieville. A deputy turned them off.
21:22 - Report of people yelling for help on Dog Valley Road. It was found that the subjects were searching for a lost pet.
21:38 - Report of a suspicious vehicle in Reno. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office was notified.
