08:51 - Mountain lion problem in Sierraville.

13:07 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

16:28 - The Sheriff’s Office received a letter with information about an individual possibly residing in the county.

16:35 - Someone lost property in Downieville.

16:47 - Report of harassment and suspected driving under the influence at Bassetts.

17:57 - Welfare check requested at a campground near Sierra City.

18:22 - Smoke reported in Verdi.

19:25 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

Tuesday, June 17

00:10 - The Sierra County Sheriff’s Office was receiving Plumas County 911 calls due to phone line maintenance.

09:13 - A vehicle was reported as possibly abandoned. However, the owner contacted the Sheriff’s Office the next day to explain that it was not.

10:13 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

10:45 - Report of a wolf attack on cattle in Sierraville.

12:14 - Trailer blocking a fire hydrant in the Verdi area.

15:22 - Trespassing reported in the Camptonville area.

16:08 - Report of a suspicious person at a Goodyears Bar swimming hole.

Wednesday, June 18

06:37 - Sierra County Probation conducted probation checks in Quincy.

08:38 - Juvenile matter at the Auburn Juvenile Hall.

12:25 - Someone mistook a BB gun for a rifle after it had been used to dispatch a rat.

17:02 - Two individuals were arrested in Washoe County on Sierra County warrants.

17:16 - A piece of a firearm was found under Durgan Bridge in Downieville. The Sheriff’s Office was able to track down the registered owner, who will be picking it up.

19:37 - A caller reported that a suspicious person had been in Loyalton over the last week or two. Deputies will do area checks throughout the night, but no crime was being committed.

19:47 - iPhone lost in Downieville.

21:41 - The Sheriff’s Office attempted to assist with locating a disabled vehicle but could find none.

Thursday, June 19

08:43 - Sierra County Environmental Health will handle a reported diesel spill in Alleghany.

10:53 - Juvenile issue in Loyalton.

12:08 - Someone was arrested for an outstanding Sierra County warrant.

12:37 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

15:54 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

18:03 - Residents selling a house in Sierraville took issue with a truck and trailer blocking the view of the property’s “for sale” sign.

22:10 - A verbal altercation occurred in Loyalton over family matters.

Friday, June 20

00:38 - A runaway juvenile was located and returned home.

02:44 - A solo motorcycle accident on Highway 49 in Western Sierra County was handled by the Sacramento Highway Patrol.

06:21 - CHP officer Jason Bice ended his shift in Eastern Sierra County, during which he was looking for wolf activity.

13:14 - Open 911 line near Downieville. Deputies could not locate anyone in need of services.

13:17 - Wolf sighting near Loyalton was reported to Fish and Wildlife.

15:54 - Report that an unknown substance had been dumped along a Forest Service road. Deputies confirmed that it was a supplement for cattle.

18:32 - Vandalism in Loyalton. Deputies will perform extra patrol checks.

18:55 - Someone was arrested in Quincy on an outstanding Sierra County warrant.

19:14 - Report of a family dispute in the North San Juan area. Deputies spoke with the parties and advised the caller on how to move forward with civil claims.

19:44 - Family members fighting in Downieville were separated before deputy involvement. One was arrested for being drunk in public but was released (to the hospital) after other parties didn’t want prosecution.

21:17 - Deputies gave someone a ride to Truckee.

Saturday, June 21

00:14 - Report of possible elder abuse at a Loyalton facility. No crime was deemed to have occurred.

08:03 - Sheriff Fisher and Officer Whitley participated in a fundraiser for the 775 Off-Road Recovery Group.

11:15 - Report of a car near Sierra Brooks parked facing the wrong direction for over 24 hours. Susanville Highway Patrol was notified.

11:28 - Four brothers own 25% of a property on Highway 49. One of the brothers has moved into the house on that property. Ongoing disputes have ensued.

12:18 - Theft reported outside of Sierra County.

14:38 - Civil dispute between neighbors. The Sheriff’s Office attempted to contact the reporting party but could not.

14:40 - A group got several vehicles stuck in the Gibsonville area. The Sheriff’s Office explained that the people could be brought to town by the Sheriff’s Office, but other arrangements would need to be made for the vehicles. The group decided against Sheriff’s Office assistance.

18:13 - Ambulance requested in Downieville.

23:42 - A driver was lost and needed directions from the top of Depot Hill. A deputy met up with and helped guide the driver.

Sunday, June 22

01:47 - A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a driver to assist with a trailer malfunction.

03:19 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

19:20 - Welfare check requested on two juveniles. Both were safe and sound.

20:49 - Cow on Highway 49 and Smithneck Road. The owner was contacted, and the cow returned to its field.
