10:35 - Request for a welfare check near Downieville.

10:38 - A small vegetation fire near Poverty Hill was quickly contained.

10:53 - Accidental 911 call from Sierra City.

12:40 - Report of an abandoned boat in Sierra City.

13:13 - Mountain lion sighting in Downieville.

13:26 - Accidental 911 call from Sierraville.

14:20 - Report of reckless drivers in Loyalton.

15:06 - Dog bite in Loyalton.

15:31 - Report of a dog attacking another dog in Loyalton.

17:38 - Dead deer in Loyalton.

18:28 - Report of a vehicle being driven by someone with a possible warrant.

20:30 - Bear problem in Sattley. Fish and Wildlife was notified, and a deputy responded to scare it off.

Tuesday, June 10

04:06 - Ambulance requested in Alleghany.

09:02 - Road closure on Plumbago Road in western Sierra County.

09:38 - Someone was transported to court from Placer County Juvenile Hall.

11:02 - Report of a reckless driver on Highway 89 near Sattley.

11:11 - Someone needed assistance with a fix-it ticket.

12:15 - Single-vehicle crash on Highway 49 near Sierra City.

12:38 - Report of possible vandalism in Sierraville.

14:42 - Notification that someone in Loyalton may have been considering self-harm.

14:52 - Request for an ambulance in Loyalton.

18:56 - Parking problem reported in Verdi, but no crime was found to have been committed.

19:43 - A deputy found a debit card at the Loyalton gas station and attempted to return it to its owner, but nobody was home.

Wednesday, June 11

10:59 - Bear problem in Downieville.

14:00 - Possibly abandoned fawn in Sierra Brooks.

14:19 - A truck caught on fire and caused a vegetation fire near Pike. Local firefighters quickly got the situation under control.

15:44 - Report of threats made at the Loyalton baseball fields.

16:45 - Report of a parking issue in Loyalton.

16:58 - Report of a stolen American flag in Verdi.

20:14 - Stranded boater on Stampede Reservoir. The boater was able to row to shore safely.

Thursday, June 12

10:27 - Accidental medical alert device activation in Loyalton.

11:30 - Bear problem in Sattley was referred to Fish and Wildlife.

18:16 - Report of possible unregistered dirt bikes in Downieville. A deputy made contact and found that all were properly registered.

Friday, June 13

07:38 - Report of a civil dispute in Downieville.

13:33 - A bear was euthanized for public safety near Sattley. It had been breaking into a residence’s chicken coop and had gorged itself on all but one of the chickens. It could not be scared off of the property after being confronted by a deputy, even by bean bag rounds.

17:19 - Report of a suspicious person walking around Loyalton.

Saturday, June 14

07:07 - A mustang was loose in Sierra Brooks. The owner was contacted and handled it.

12:07 - A possible vegetation fire was reported by an iPhone in the Lakes Basin area. Sierra City Fire and the Forest Service were unable to locate anything.

13:12 - Report of a vehicle accident with injuries near Crystal Peak. The Highway Patrol and Emergency Medical Services were notified.

14:45 - Someone was missing a tan and white wiener and beagle mix dog.

14:52 - Report of a reckless driver in Loyalton.

17:45 - An unregistered vehicle was impounded after a traffic stop at the Yubaverse near Downieville.

21:25 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

Sunday, June 15

11:54 - Report of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 49 at Sattley.

12:38 - A tree fell on power lines in Pike.

13:08 - Injured deer on Highway 49 near Chapman Creek.

16:26 - Ambulance requested in Downieville.

19:05 - Report of possibly drunk drivers on Gold Lake Highway. The Highway Patrol was informed.

21:45 - Report of loud yelling and noises coming from the creek in Loyalton, but a deputy could not find anything.

23:50 - A family member was overdue from the Independence Lake area. While a deputy was searching, the Sheriff’s Office received word that the overdue party made it home safely.
