00:23 - Bear problem reported in Downieville.

06:47 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

07:54 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

10:30 - Wolf attack on cattle reported at a Sierra Valley ranch.

10:33 - Report of wolf attack on cattle at another Sierra Valley ranch.

11:18 - Another report of a wolf attack on cattle at a Sierra Valley ranch.

11:35 - Report of a vehicle crash on Highway 49.

12:09 - Ambulance requested in Portola.

13:28 - Possible wolf attack on cattle at a Sierra Valley ranch, but it was determined to be by a different animal.

16:15 - Property damage at Loyalton High School.

19:08 - Dog found near the Downieville bell tower. The owner was contacted and admonished for letting it be at large.

19:57 - Ambulance requested in Downieville.

20:35 - A deputy removed a deceased deer from Highway 49 near Loyalton.

20:55 - A deputy came across a disabled vehicle on Highway 49 in Loyalton. The vehicle was being moved the next day.

Tuesday, September 23

03:53 - Ambulance requested in Sierraville.

09:43 - Wolf sighting reported near Loyalton.

11:37 - Report of the front door of a possibly vacant home being open in Loyalton.

12:16 - Hit and run outside of the county.

13:27 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

15:49 - Possible theft at Union Flat Campground, but it was determined that no crime occurred.

18:35 - Report of a neighbor setting off fireworks in Pike. Documentation was written.

Wednesday, September 24

01:00 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

04:22 - Bear getting into trash in Loyalton. Fish and Wildlife notified.

12:17 - Civil dispute in Downieville.

13:51 - Trespassing in Goodyears Bar.

14:41 - Investigation in the Pike area.

14:45 - Investigation near Plum Valley.

15:45 - Investigation near Cal-Ida.

15:15 - Report taken for a dog bite in Sierra Brooks.

18:18 - Report of a drunk person on the ground in Loyalton. The person was not on the ground when deputies arrived. The deputies escorted the subject home.

19:02 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

19:40 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

20:28 - Someone in Sierra County reported a possible fight in Nevada City. The caller was provided with the phone number for the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.

20:57 - Someone was out of gas at Bassetts and couldn’t get the gas pumps to work. Deputies arrived at Bassetts, but the person was gone.

Thursday, September 25

10:30 - Someone lost a vehicle key in Downieville.

13:37 - Motorcycle crash on Highway 49 at Depot Hill.

13:42 - Ambulance requested in Sierraville.

15:59 - Assistance requested by Susanville Highway Patrol.

16:08 - Report of a vehicle parked on private property without permission in Sierra City.

16:33 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

Friday, September 26

00:26 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

09:15 - Information provided that a portion of Pike City Road would be closed.

09:45 - Request for “no parking” signs to be put up in Loyalton. It fell under the city’s jurisdiction.

11:46 - Agency assist in the Babbitt Peak area.

13:21 - Vegetation fire on Allegany Road. This was the now-contained Oregon Fire.

14:13 - Report of a missing person last known to be in Nevada County. Deputies were informed to be on the lookout.

15:14 - Accidental 911 message sent, which reported a person on fire in Sierra City.

15:28 - Report of dogs chasing a person in Loyalton, but they were gone when the Sheriff’s Office arrived.

17:54 - Juvenile problem in Loyalton “related to texting and parent/teenager management.” No crime occurred.

18:57 - Someone was drunk after being released from the hospital. “He was returned to his apartment, where he promptly went to sleep.”

20:53 - Noise complaint due to a band playing at a neighbor’s residence. A deputy spoke with the neighbor, who said the party was winding down.

22:57 - Trespassing issue in Loyalton.

Saturday, September 27

08:15 - Verbal family altercation in Sierraville. Parties were separated, and civil service was facilitated.

12:44 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

16:13 - Assistance requested for a stranded motorist above Goodyears Bar. When deputies arrived, the person had already received assistance and had left the area.

16:37 - Crash on the Third Divide trail above Downieville. Downieville Fire, Tahoe Forest Service, Sacramento Highway Patrol, and Fish and Wildlife assisted in the rescue. The patient was flown to the hospital.

17:44 - Report of an off-road vehicle speeding on a residential street in Loyalton. The Sheriff’s Office was unable to locate the subject.

17:55 - Two fishing citations issued at Packer Lake.

18:56 - Report of a Mustang recklessly speeding through Sierra Brooks. Susanville Highway Patrol was notified.

19:36 - Deputies were informed about possible illegal dumping of deer remains in the forest. Fish and Wildlife was informed and contacted the reporting party.

20:19 - A deputy is investigating an identity theft incident for a Loyalton resident.

Sunday, September 28

12:40 - Report of a child custody order violation in Downieville. Parties returned to compliance.

13:05 - Reported wolf sighting near Sierra Brooks.

13:08 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

13:23 - Possible crash on Highway 49 near Bassetts.

14:01 - Ambulance requested in Downieville.

14:05 - Report of a possible fire near Jackson Meadows, but none was found.

17:51 - Report of a vehicle driving to the Calpine Fire Lookout.

17:57 - Loose dogs near Stampide Reservoir.

18:55 - Possible illegal campers in Goodyears Bar. A deputy could not locate any.

20:58 - Two vehicles were involved in hitting a deer on Highway 89 at the county line. Susanville Highway Patrol stepped in.
