Crash just west of Bassetts — driver uninjured
SIERRA COUNTY — Snowfall on Saturday led to treacherous conditions on Highway 49 between Sierra City and Sattley. At least six vehicles were involved in significant incidents, with one rollover, multiple stuck in ditches, and one hitting a tree at the side of the road. No injuries were reported for any of the incidents. Though Highway 49 remained open throughout the weekend, Interstate 80 was closed at 3:21 p.m. on Saturday and did not fully reopen until 9:15 a.m. on Sunday.
