NEVADA CITY — The South Yuba River Citizens League is inviting community members to participate in the 28th Annual Yuba River Cleanup on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9 AM to 1 PM. The event brings together volunteers to remove trash, recycling, and other waste from riverbanks, creeks, and trails throughout Nevada County.
SYRCL will also host a Volunteer Appreciation Party at Condon Park in Grass Valley from 12 PM to 3 PM for all participants, featuring lunch and live music. To receive the complimentary lunch from Bill’s Chuckwagon at the Appreciation Party, volunteers must register by Saturday, September 13.
Volunteers can register at yubariver.org, where more information about the cleanup is also available. “Volunteering for the Cleanup is one of the most direct and meaningful ways to protect the Yuba,” said Daniel Elkin, SYRCL’s Communications and Engagement Director, in a press release. “By joining us, you’ll help keep our river healthy and beautiful for generations to come, and we invite you to celebrate that commitment with friends and neighbors at Condon Park.”
