Seven Reasons for Fair Elections

ENACTS a valid and lawful CA Constitutional Amendment that gives the VOTERS a voice with the power to vote for TEMPORARY congressional maps.

LEVELS THE PLAYING FIELD by responding to the TX gerrymander that added 5 partisan seats without voter approval.

COMPLIES with the Federal Voting Rights Act, has more compact districts and keeps more communities together than the current maps. View new maps at voterguide.sos.ca.gov.

Mid-cycle gerrymanders by TX and other states are POWER GRABS ordered by the president to seize permanent power over Congress.

Temporary maps would remain in effect only until the Citizens Redistricting Commission certifies new maps based on the 2030 census.

CALLS ON the U.S. CONGRESS to propose an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to require that redistricting is done by “fair, independent, and nonpartisan redistricting commissions nationwide.”
