Library@Nite

Yep, it’s that time of the month when the Downieville Library opens up in the evening. This happens on the second Monday of each month — thus, we’ll be open on July 14, 6:00 to 8:00 PM. This is especially designed for specific groups of people: (1) those who work during the times when we are normally open during the day (Tuesdays, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and, Thursdays, noon to 4:00 PM); (2) children who, during the school year, have a hard time escaping from their classes to get to the library; (3) those folk who just enjoy getting out in the evening, and need some place to go and hang out; and, (4) everyone else. So — looking forward to seeing all of you next Monday evening.

The Children’s Hour

Here’s a reminder that the summer children’s program is in full swing at the Downieville Library. It takes place on Thursday, starting at 12:15 PM. Peggy Daigle is engaging younger children in reading and activities. Paul Guffin is engaging older children in writing poetry. Additionally, every child receives a prize every time they come.
